Cricut's new cartridge, Once Upon A Princess, is the cutest girlie type cartridge they have ever released! It is a full size cartridge with many layered images, as well as a two full fonts and a ton of layered word art options! There are also two cards with matching envelopes, two gift bags, and crown, wand and castle 3-D cuts. It is amazing!
I made the above pages using Bo Bunny patterned paper, Core'dinations cardstock and background glittery papers from DCWV Love Stack. Ribbon is also from Bo Bunny.
I thought it would be fun to have the castle open up to reveal a journaling tag block, a photo mat and one of the "gem" feature key cuts (the crown in the circle). I cut the journaling block at 3" and the crown "gem" at 2". The castle was cut at 10 1/4" and multi-layered, especially when I added in the opened up section. The castle does have a shadow layer but it is an extended shadow (1/2" around all edges) and I did not like how it looked in this application as it overwhelmed the page. Off the the far left in the photo above is another "gem" feature key cut at 2" and flipped with a unicorn motif.
This precious princess is one of three paper doll choices. In addition, there are many cute outfits which coordinate with the word art feature. So darn cute!! She was cut at 4" and layered. On the cartridge, her eyes actually cut out but I had trouble with that and so chose to instead use the Peachy Keen face stamps (Thanks, Melanie for lending them to me!). I used some bling to enhance her dress and crown. She is pop dotted onto the layout.
This unicorn was cut at 4" and also his eye was stamped with the Peachy Keen face stamps. He was enhanced using a white pen to give contour to his tail and wings.
This "gem" feature key is the crown motif and was cut at 2". These little "gems" are so cute and come in a variety of images.
This is just one of many word art options and was cut at 3". It was very easy to layer and turned out so cute! The suggested colors for all the images was just spot on and made paper choices so much easier.
